Lakeside World Darts champion Martin Adams continued his fine 2007 campaign by winning the German Open title. Cambridgeshire's Adams beat Tony O'Shea 2-1 in the semi-finals in Bochum and then notched a 3-1 victory over John Walton of Yorkshire 3-1 in the final. Walton had overcome fellow former world champion Ted Hankey 2-1 in the final four to set up his showdown with Adams.
In the women's final, Sweden's Carina Ekberg overcame Carla Molema of the Netherland 2-1.
