14. August 2008 Champions League

Composition of the Champions League:

The League consists of a maximum of 16 Teams, each against each (15 Rounds, Round Robin). 3 Matches will be played at each EDU Ranking, so it will take 5 Rankings to absolve a whole playing season, which takes place between the annual European Championships. The Nomination of the Teams may only be carried out by the national Federations.


Team Registration:

Until latest 22th of August 2008 the Teams have to be announced and the entrance duties have to be paid at the EDU Office (Mail: roger.volken@rhone.ch)
Participation fee: 500.00 EUR per Team

Team Line-Ups:

Only Players with a valid license of the EDU Member Federations can be declared for Registration. The Member Federations are urged to not distribute Licenses to foreign Players. The EDU Executive Committee reserves its rights to decline late Registration when facing Noncompliance. A Team consists of 4 Players, whereas at least 1 female Player has to be deployed at each Match. Maximum Player Number is 20 per Team and Season. Before the Start of the first EDU Ranking Tournament 3 masculine and 1 female Player has to be registered. Registered players must not change Teams during the Playing Season. Team names must correspond to Ethics and Moral.

Playing Mode:

13 Legs / Match: 8 Games 501 DO League
4 Games Cricket Standard (2 Players play in 1 Display)
1 Game 701 DO. Tiebreaker (all 8 Players at Board)
During a playing schedule Players cannot be changed, in between Games every Team has the possibility to make Substitutions. However, at least 1 female Player has to be lined up in every Game.

Point awarding system:

The height of the awarded points depends on the result of the Match
13 : 0 until 8 : 5 Winner 3 Points, Loser 0 Points
7 : 6 Winner 2 Points, Loser 1 Point

Valuation and Ranking:

The Valuation results from the Winning Points (3, 2, 1, 0), Legs and direct duel

Match Start: Friday 18.00

Duration: approximately in total 5 Hours (all 3 Matches)
Coin drop: 12.00 EUR per Match and Team

Price Money:

The Price Money conforms with the Amount of participating Teams, with 16 Teams 8,000.00 EUR, and will be paid out scaled to all participating Teams at the European Championships Tournament in Zadar 2009.
