The Opening Ceremony of the 13th EDU European Championship & Eurocup was a spectacular one. It was held on a beach near a church with an ancient tower where the stage was set. Mr. Carl Plank, president of EDU, had the opening words, and after that representatives of each of the 19 European countries that participated at this years European Championship came to stage and greeted everyone on their mother tongue. It was followed with a concert of an young Italian rock band wich performed for the first time new EDU hymn called "We Are the EDU".

 

There was also atractive show with the fire of an Italian theater group, and it all ended with a spectacular firework. Fish and vine were served or free.
